Fondue in the carriage: the Kissling family

With their carriage rides, the Kissling family has built up a second leg to stand on. A delicious fondue made from sustainable milk makes the trip a special experience.

Our farmers keep moving: in the video series “Our farmer ambassadors”, we present the people who supply the valuable raw ingredient, from which we make high-quality, delicious dairy products - sustainably produced milk.

Today: the Kissling family from Rickenbach (SO)

For the Kisslings, sustainable dairy farming is not the only matter close to their hearts: Katrin and Stefan also share a passion for horses. This passion can be experienced on a fondue carriage ride: up to 12 people can enjoy a fondue caquelon while riding in a horse-drawn carriage. Whether it’s for weddings, bachelor parties or a simple group outing, the Kisslings have the right vehicle in the barn.

Sustainably produced milk for the best fondue

But fondue is, of course, the star of the show. And that requires the best, sustainably produced milk. The Kissling family supplies a huge amount to Emmi, around 230,000 kg per year. Not really sure what this involves? You can get a good overview on our farm ambassadors website: Here, around 300 farm ambassadors give an insight into their day-to-day farm life.

Delicacies from the farm shop

If you want to fill your shopping basket with fresh, homemade delicacies, you can stock up in the Kissling family’s farm shop: fresh milk, eggs, farmer’s bread and seasonal zebu meat are available. Originally from South Asia, the small cattle provide exclusive, dark, low-cholesterol and low-fat meat with a very fine and noble game flavor.

“I am a proud Emmi farmer ambassador because my sustainably produced milk is processed and marketed with the same basic idea.”

Emmi farmer ambassadors

The long-standing partnership with our regional dairy farmers has always been particularly important to us. It is characterised by trust, closeness to our origins and quality awareness. Through this close cooperation, we can help to create value in rural regions and remain true to the core of our products, with high-quality and increasingly sustainably produced milk. Together, we create added value and make sustainable dairy farming the norm. To further strengthen the partnership and focus on the families behind all the fine dairy products, Emmi launched the Emmi Farmer Ambassador project in 2018. Go to emmi.com/farmer-ambassadors for some photos and videos that will provide you with a lively insight into the everyday life on the farms of what are now around 300 Emmi farmer ambassadors.
