From the milk to the shelf: How collaboration makes our best Emmi moments possible
At Emmi, the best results are not achieved alone. They arise when people take responsibility, share their knowledge and work together towards a common goal. Whether on the farm, in development, planning, logistics or within international project teams: Collaboration connects us across roles, locations and countries. It makes Emmi what we are today.
It all starts with people
Every Emmi moment has its origin: our milk. Behind it are thousands of milk producers who work with a great deal of commitment and passion day in, day out. Since Emmi’s early days, this collaboration has been based on trust, reliability and a shared understanding of quality.
What began as a cooperative idea over 100 years ago has shaped us to this day. Together with our milk producers, we create the basis for products that people enjoy every day.
When many minds are behind a simple idea
Some products seem rather simple at first glance. But they are often the result of some impressive teamwork. One good example of this is Emmi Pure Swiss Yogurt. The recipe consists of just three ingredients: milk, fruit and sugar.
However, it takes the expertise of many individuals to create a product that meets the highest standards. Development, purchasing, quality assurance, production and suppliers worked hand in hand to combine natural ingredients, careful processes and the perfect taste. The result shows just what is possible when different competencies come together.
Looking ahead together
At Emmi, collaboration is also about shaping the future together. Making sure that our products are available in the right place at the right time requires regular coordination between the teams from Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Purchasing, Production and Finance.
They share knowledge, discuss different perspectives and make decisions on the same footing. This leads to a common understanding of what our customers will need tomorrow and how we can prepare for it.
The connections between people, locations and markets
Emmi products travel thousands of kilometres every day. Behind every delivery are people who plan, coordinate and find solutions. Logistics means much more than transport. It is about connecting production sites, customers, partners and markets.
Thanks to this collaboration, thousands of products reach their destination reliably every day. What might appear to be a matter of course to consumers is all the result of perfectly coordinated interaction between many teams.
Knowledge knows no limits
Collaboration is particularly visible when people work together across national borders. Within the Emmi Group, teams share their expertise, support each other with projects and develop new solutions together. Experience from one market helps to solve challenges in another more quickly. The development of the Reese’s Peanut Butter Cheesecake, for example, demonstrated how close collaboration between different Emmi companies can combine knowledge and turn innovation into reality in record time.
And so innovations, new skills and shared successes are created. Because the best ideas often arise when different perspectives come together.
Collaboration is part of our DNA
Whether on the farm, in product development, planning or within international project teams: Stories at Emmi always follow the same pattern. Success is born when people trust each other, take responsibility and want to achieve more together.
Collaboration is therefore much more than just a process. It is part of our culture. It unites our value chain, from the origin of the milk to the finished product and transforms many individual contributions into one shared performance.
Or to put it simply: The best Emmi moments are created together.
