Emmi Operational Excellence (EOE):
We want to do better!
In the beginning, employees were quite sceptical when terms such as "Kaizen" and "5S" started emerging a few years ago. Competitive pressure and challenging financial conditions forced us to take a closer look at costs in order to reach our goal of achieving long-term success and securing jobs.
By now, cost awareness has become a permanent component of our corporate culture and is perfectly exemplified by our employees. As a result, Emmi benefits from massive savings at the production sites every year. But it's not just about money: the constant search for a better solution has had a positive impact on how we work together and understand one another. The EOE programme and the topic of cost optimisation will be part of life for years to come. We need to be proactive, for it allows us to achieve a great deal.
Employee Committee Our mouthpiece
The Employee Committee (PEKO) represents yet another opportunity for employees to get involved. The main task of the PEKO is to represent the opinions and ideas of our employees to management For example, the general terms and conditions of employment were further improved thanks to employees' suggestions and the efforts of the PEKO. The PEKO also serves as an important link between the staff and management when it comes to major change projects. Employees may also consult the PEKO if they need advice or support in a personal matter.
