Full of anticipation for the future
54 apprentices began their training at Emmi at the beginning of August. From their first day at work to their first independent tasks: the excitement for what lies ahead is tangible.
Emmi has a long tradition of training apprentices. After all, the experts of tomorrow do not just happen by chance: we support talented young people, offer them guidance on their journey and give them the opportunity to take on responsibility. At Emmi, we create a place where young talents can grow, learn from each other and develop into the experts of tomorrow. Together, we are shaping Emmi’s future.
When their apprenticeships began at the start of August, 54 apprentices took a step towards their professional future at 10 locations across Switzerland. While they bring different interests, experiences and stories to the table, they do have a few things in common: a love of learning, a desire to take on new challenges and the motivation to forge their own path.
We spoke to five apprentices in their first week of work:
Luisa, Apprentice Dairy Technologist
“After completing my trial apprenticeship, I knew right away: this is exactly what I want to do.”
From open days to her apprenticeship: Luisa has been pursuing her dream job for several years. When she talks about it, she radiates happiness.
Joel, Apprentice Logistics Specialist
“In my apprenticeship, I take on responsibility and see first-hand what I have achieved.”
After several trial days, it was clear to Joel that he wanted to do something practical after finishing secondary school – something where he could get stuck in and learn new things every day.
Daniela, Apprentice Road Transport Specialist
“It’s never too late to embark on your dream career.”
Even as a child, Daniela was fascinated by large vehicles. Today, at the age of 26, she is starting the apprenticeship she wanted to do as a teenager.
Sajan, Apprentice Dairy Technologist
“I am fascinated to see how natural resources are turned into the products we consume every day.”
Sajan had not really heard of this job before his trial day. Today, he is looking forward to handling his first independent tasks.
Vuk, Apprentice Plant Operator
“I am looking forward to being able to control the systems myself.”
After a few months as a temporary employee, Vuk decided to pursue an apprenticeship at Emmi. He is particularly interested in doing technical work on the machinery.
Many paths, one shared start
The stories of our new apprentices show that there is no single path into the world of work. If you would like to start your own journey at Emmi, you can find apprenticeship places starting in August 2027 here: Vacant apprenticeships | Emmi Group.
