Structure

Do you have your university degree, are open and curious, think networked, have a doer mentality, and can identify with Emmi's products and values? Then our two-year trainee program is just right for you! As a trainee, you will have the unique opportunity to discover four different departments for six months each, both domestically and abroad, and drive exciting projects. This way, you will not only get to know the diversity of the Emmi Group but also explore your own strengths and development areas.

Your development is at the heart of our trainee program. Therefore, we put together an individual development program for you and invest specifically in your future. You will have the opportunity to participate in internal training, workshops, and further education and delve into topics such as project management, dairy industry, financial understanding, agile project management, leadership, and presentation skills. We place particular emphasis on ensuring that you not only develop professionally but also grow personally.

Our Trainee Programs

In the two years of your trainee program at Emmi, you will explore the multifaceted world of Emmi. From marketing and sales to purchasing and planning, to HR and finance, various departments are open to you. Together, we decide based on your interests, strengths, and available positions in which departments you will deepen your knowledge. Discover the diversity of our company at various locations and advance your individual development.

Preferred fields of study: Business Administration, Economics

Next application period: February 2025

You will spend the first six months in the logistics department, learning about our IT systems, processes, and extensive partner network. After that, you can explore related areas such as production planning, sales, purchasing, or supply chain management in two additional six-month stages and understand the connection to logistics from different perspectives. Finally, you will return to logistics for six months to apply your knowledge from other departments practically and round off your experience.

Preferred fields of study: Economics or Business Informatics with a focus on Business Innovation, Supply Chain Management, Logistics or Partner Management

Next application period: earliest February 2026

During your two-year trainee program, you will explore the multifaceted world of Emmi. From the research and development of new products to quality and environmental management, to operational controlling, dairy technology, or supply chain management – many doors are open to you in the field of food sciences. Together, we decide based on your interests, strengths, and available positions in which departments you will deepen your knowledge. Discover the diversity of our company at various locations and advance your individual development.

Preferred fields of study: Food Technology, Food Sciences, or completed apprenticeship in Dairy Technology with a subsequent Bachelor's degree in Food Sciences

Next application period: February 2025

In our two-year trainee program, we offer you specialized IT training. You start with a main focus and a comprehensive introduction to various IT areas and get to know your own IT preferences (e.g., hardware, software, security, IT service management, operation, architecture) better during the first 12 months. After that, you have two six-month assignments in various IT-related areas that are closely linked to our processes and systems. Here you will gain in-depth insights into IT applications and strategies, such as how IT supports the finance department or improves processes in human resources, production, marketing, sales, or integrated business planning (IBP). The goal is to give you a comprehensive understanding of how IT acts as the backbone of our business processes.

Preferred fields of study: Business Informatics, Applied Informatics, or Economics/Business Administration with an interest in further development in the area of systems & processes. Or completed apprenticeship (e.g., KV) including 1-2 years of work experience with a subsequent Bachelor's degree in Business Informatics

Next application period: February 2025

In the first six months of your trainee program, you will be introduced to the agricultural economics of the Emmi industry. After that, you can gain insights into related areas such as production planning, sales, procurement, supply chain management, or finance in two additional six-month stages and develop a comprehensive understanding of the industry. The program ends with a six-month stage where you focus again on agricultural economics to apply your accumulated knowledge practically and solidify your expertise.

Preferred field of study: Agricultural Economics / Agricultural Sciences

Next application period: earliest February 2026
